I've heard that to make your new year prosperous and fruitful, you need to prepare food that are round and it must me sweet, well, to make the year sweet as well :)...
Who doesn't want their New Year to be prosperous and sweet?
I decided to make something really sweet :)
Here goes:
1 cup sugar
2 sachet unflavored gelatin, dissolved in 1 1/2 tbsp water
1 big can fruit cocktail, drained (reserve syrup)
2 egg yolks
1 cup condense milk
1 can all purpose cream
14 pc broas
1. Boil 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup fruit cocktail syrup and 1 cup water for 10 minutes. Pour mixture into gelatin and stir to dissolve. Set aside.
2. Combine yolks and milk. Simmer while stirring over medium heat until mixture thickens or coats the spoon. Add fruit cocktail and gelatin mixture. Cook for 2 minutes.
3. Stir in cream. Pour in a round pan lined with broas. Cover and freeze until firm.
